District’s CEO & Founder nominated for The Bridging the Gap Award for playing a major role in bringing the worlds of technology and real estate closer together
Lee Butz, District’s CEO & Founder has been shortlisted out of hundreds of applicants for The Bridging the Gap Award by Estates Gazette. The shortlisted applicants needed to demonstrate true leadership in the sector as well as play a major role in bringing the technology and real estate worlds together.
In 2020 Lee launched their own series of e-guides and webinars with District, sharing insights on CRE & tech. The purpose of the in-house series was to further educate and spread knowledge and insights on the industry, with topics including; The future of work, hybrid working, the future of commercial real estate and more. The webinars feature industry expert guest panellists with some of them including; Gensler Architect Maria Nesdale, ARUP’s Chief Data Officer Volker Buscher and Founder of Alpha Property Insight Dan Hughes (a previous winner of this coveted award).
Being a non-binary leader, Lee is also bringing awareness to gender identity and diversity in CRE, and took part in Google’s Immersion Programme for underrepresented leaders in 2020, selected out of thousands of applicants.
With hundreds of applicants in leadership roles, this award is one of the most popular and prestigious up for grabs. Previous winners include Ross Bailey of Appear Here, Fionnuala Hogan of Goldacre and Dan Hughes of Alpha Property Insight.

The EG Tech awards have now moved to fully virtual and the event will take place on Tuesday 14th September where the winners will be announced.
